What is a PBX?

It's just like a extender but it can dial a lot more places, overseas, 800's, Alliances, etc. I have found them to be MUCH safer than using codes.

How to hack one?

PBX's are usually pretty easy to find, most companies hide their PBX's behind answering machines, vmb's or some other kinda shit.

This is my most commonly used tactic for finding PBX's. Grab a Newsweek, Time or some magazine with a lot of advertising and 800 #'s. The best place to find these #'s is in study hall (If you're in school). Write them down, go home and dial all of them after business hours.

Let's say you dial an 800 and get an answering machine. Start pounding out tones, the most common keys are the #,0,*. Push one of those when you get the answering machine, this usually (50% of the time) will take you to one of the following, an operator, VMS, extension, xtender.

When using a PBX you always hit the 9 key for an outside line, so when you enter the VMB or whatever try hitting 9. If you get a dial-tone you're set to dial. Dial just like you normally would, 1+ACN, or alliance (alliance 0700456xxxx, xxxx=1000, 1001, 1002, 2000, etc.).

PBX's are really easy to find just keep venturing around in the 800 # and press 9 everywhere you go, you're bound to find one somewhere. Don't hang up if it says it's transferring you to the attendant, sometimes it is automated and that's where the PBX is hidden.
