Easiest Busy Box

No soldering, no crimping, nothing complex. If you can plug in a line cord, you can build this box. It just doesn't get any easier than that. And, that's the beauty of it. Even the most novice of phreaks can make this. I seriously doubt an easier to make version of the busy box can be found. Actually, I shouldn't even use words like "make" or "build" since It's just a matter of plugging stuff in. And, just to avoid confusion, this should not be confused with my 9 volt busy box. This is a busy box in the true sense. Meaning, you're shorting the wire pair (phone line) with this. No batteries are used for regular busy boxes of any type. This "box" doesn't even require much in the way of parts. Here's all you'll need...
*Duplex jack adapter (It splits 1 two line jack into 2 two line jacks)
*RJ14 (2 line) phone line cord of any length
Actually, the phone line cord can even be an RJ11(1 line) phone cord, but you'll only be able to short 1 of the 2 lines that way. But, if you sure the person you use this on only has 1 line phone service, that won't matter. Also, if you substitute an 8 conductor RJ45 (4 line) duplex jack adapter, you can short up to 4 lines at once instead of 1 or 2. Of course, you'll also need to substitute a 4 line phone line cord in place of the 2 line phone line cord. Another way to do this is to use a 3 way (1 female RJ14 phone jack to 2 female RJ14 jacks), and connect a 1 or 2 line phone line cord to the 2 female RJ14 jacks, then connect the line cord coming from the phone outlet to the other single female RJ14 phone jack. The required parts can be bought at any Radio Hack, or any other places that carries phones/phone accessories. But, the 4 line duplex adapter may be harder to find anywhere else besides Radio Shack.
*Construction*
There's nothing to "construct", really. Just plug 1 end of the phone line cord plug into 1 of the 2 jacks on the duplex adapter. Now, plug the other end of that same line cord into the other of the 2 jacks in the duplex adapter. Finally, plug the plug end of the duplex adapter into a working phone outlet. BAM! You're done. The line is now shorted out, and will remain that way until either you unplug the duplex adapter from the phone jack, or disconnect 1 end of the line cord from 1 of the 2 jacks in the duplex adapter.
