You've heard all the big names in Alternative religions. Wicca and Paganism. Satanism. Discordianism. The sad truth is these "Alternative" religions are quickly becoming mainstream religions. So what's left?

Out of the chaos and confusion of religious dogma, a new religion has been sneaking up on the rest of the world, and is soon ready to catch the other religions off guard.

Founded in May of 2001, The Cult of Cod (originally the Cult of the Satanic Cod, but now new and improved!) was created to provide a *REAL* alternative path for those seeking escape from mainstream religions. Yah, yah, you've all heard this spiel before. "Really, we're the Alternative religion." Next thing you know, you've got tithing and a billion books written on the subject, all contradicting each other. How do you know Codism is not gonna be like that?

Because we worship a bloody fish! That's right. Swim swim fishy! How mainstream can a fish-worshipping religion really get?

Second, we're not anal retentive about who gets a say and who doesn't. Presently, we've had scriptures submitted from well over a dozen different people and our site lists over a hundred pieces of scripture that you can pass time reading. New submissions are always welcome, and are the most common route to Sainthood! Hey, you don't even need to die to become a Saint! How handy is that? You get to voice your opinion in the Cult, and you get to work your way towards the prestigeous title of "Saint". Doesn't get much better than that.
