list goes on and on. Why Azlum?

I, personally love the Church of SubGenius and Discordianism movements. I love
them so much it makes me want to puke, but in a good way.
But, think back to that first pamphlet. I said that Azlum was a PHILOSOPHY.
Don't worry about religious conflicts. Be happy. Don't give a fuck.
True, Azlum has certain orders and groups. To me Azlum is a religion, a way
of life, and a philosophy rolled into one. To you, Azlum can be anything you
want it, just don't look away.
While on the subject of orders, I think I'll talk about 'em.
The Knyghts of Azlum:
every religion needs its militant side. The Knyghts are an order of
Azlumic followers who right wrongs, wrong rights, and everything inbetween.

The Temple of the Ethereal Sun:
this is the beautiful, mystickal side of Azlum. An ethereal sun is a
mystical object that appears to be a sun but instead of generating painful
photons of skin-piercing light, it only makes the illusion of light. True,
it looks like daytime 24 hours a day, but you can look directly at the sun
for any duration and not be hurt. These objects are scattered throughout the
cosmos and many planes of existance.
the monks of the Temple are a tolerant order. They reach Azlum through
pure magick and spend their lives questing for ethereal suns. Yes, there is a
temple that sits in the light of an ethereal sun, I have seen it.
What order am I, you are asking. Well, you don't have to join an order to be
an Azlumite. Just believe and Azlum will know you like a lover.
If you are curious about being in an order, I will tell you how I was chosen.
In the dead of night I slept. My dreams melded into a singular scene.
I entered the temple of the ethereal sun and passed by the many monks.
On an altar at the front of the temple were two swords driven into stone
The first was simple, a sabre-like sword with a monk standing by it. The
next was ornate was large with a knyght standing next to it. As I
meditated upon which to choose, I saw a dark outline in the distance.
The monk and knyght spoke in unison:
"The obsidian sword is missing. He who is touched by its cry is forever
imprisoned by the quest to find it. He who wields the sword of mystickal
stone will show Azlum to the worlds."
As I reached for the dark outline, I awoke in my bed. My alarm rang seconds
after I sat up. Since that day I have evolved Azlum from my personal
religion to a movement of free thinking.
Your dreams are important, your power lies within. Look to your dreams and
hallucinations, and intuitive feelings to find your path. Remember, your
path may not lead to Azlum, but if it does I will help you.
Another useful tidbit for the upandcoming Azlumic convert: we don't pray.
That is probably the only solid Azlumic sin. Never ask a lie to help you.
You can ask a friend, a relative, a spirit to do a favor. That is okay, but
don't ever pray, nothing ever comes of it.
When imprisoned in the city of Jyhad, Azlum heard the prayers of millions
of dying and murdering creatures. The prayers drove him into a rage and his
screams shook the boundries of Reality itself.
