Dignitaries from around the world gather
for conference with `World Teacher'
An unprecedented gathering of world figures, including
representatives from governments and international media, has been
announced for late April in London.
"Royalty, diplomats, legislators, scientists, educators,
journalists and religious leaders have been invited to this meeting
which, I believe, will have profound global implications," says
Benjamin Creme, British author and editor of Share International
magazine. Since 1975, Creme has presented himself via the media as a
spokesman for a `World Teacher' who has been preparing to emerge into
public life.
New Era of Global Peace
"The World Teacher will address this London conference in late
April, and present his `credentials'["], Creme states. "The
dignitaries have been called by him to help implement a new era of
global cooperation and peace, and will be invited to attest to their
experience of him over the past two years."
Creme maintains that this World Teacher, whose name is Maitreya, is
the one expected by followers of all religions. "He is, at once,
Christ, the Messiah, the Imam Mahdi, Krishna and the Fifth Buddha. But
religion is not his main focus. He comes primarily to inspire humanity
to create a fair and just world. Already, his energy has been the
stimulus behind the freedom movements in Europe and Asia and the
reconciliations that have ended numerous wars in recent months, many of
which he predicted before they occured."
Forecasts of World Events
Maitreya's forecasts of world events -- from the Armenian
earthquake to the British poll tax revolt to the freeing of Nelson
Mandela -- have included the increasing frequency of earthquakes,
hurricanes and unexplainable crashes and explosions, the inevitable
effects, Maitreya has said, of man's violation of natural law. More
such events are predicted in the coming weeks, including the flooding
of the U.K. Parliament and volcanic eruptions in Canada, Russia, and
Sicily. Maitreya has also forecast that a series of unusual events
around the world will create an atmosphere of expectancy and lead to
the moment when he can come forward.
