Religion as Mass Hysteria

Its just a form of mass hysteria or more certainly mass dementia this thing called religion and the thing that gets me most is when you are conversing with one of these holier than thous and they say something to the effect that it take a high intelligence to believe in creation and a lower intelligence to believe in evolution. Its as if all physics and science just stop and the world was created 6000 or so years ago, and the dinosaur bones are just Gods little joke or they were made on day three because a day to God doesnt mean what a day means to us; and what these unthinking, give your self over to faith, little bastards really are, they are just afraid of death. Because thats the thing that got the whole thing started was death. When someone in the ancient tribe died and the others in the tribe grasp the fact that this person wasnt coming back it was left up to the elders, those who have seen death enough to recognize, to console those who were close to the deceased and grieving the most; so fanciful yards were spun about what came after death so that they might get on with there lives knowing that the dearly departed were in a better place. This consoling of the grieving is what gave religion its stronghold and allowed it to grow and take over the lives of so many people and at the same time it has destroyed the minds of so many people. It is no longer just a means of placating the grieving it is a full blown force of evil disguised as a force of good, and being evil disguised as good it can maintain its control and power so long as it continues extol the evil that is always rampant in our daily lives. Evil that unless dissected and shown in a certain light isnt evil at all, but so long as the majority of people refuse to think outside their comfort zones they allow themselves to be lead around be the evil priest. It is only when one overcomes this need to be lead around that one can really start on a road to self realization and intellectual growth. This is not to say that everyone with strong religious beliefs is an idiot, as much as I would like to say that it just isnt true. When someone who has strong intellectual potential is raised in an environment of religious practice and that is all that they know and it has become so engrained in their being that they just accept it, they get on with their lives and they experience intellectual growth despite the fact that their brains have been polluted with religion, they practice the rituals and religious practice becomes a form of meditation. This phenomenon does happen but it doesnt prove that religion is right, it just proves that there are exceptional people out the and they will rise to intellectual greatness regardless of their beliefs. In this case I can only point to people that have had great intellectual achievements in fields other that religion. Most people do not have above average intellects, most people have average intellects, its what makes them average. I myself do have an above average intellect and when I hear a religious zealot say that believing in creation takes a higher intelligence than believing in evolution it only reinforces my belief. So how do we handle this mass dementia, this force of evil? Very carefully to be sure. These are the people that gave us the Crusades and the Inquisition, but they will swear that that is all behind them while they pry their way into your personal lives and habits and preferences. It is only when like people of like minds come together and educate the others that this scourge can be reigned in. Make no mistake about it this force of evil is strong. These fable makers have had thousands of years to work their evil into every corner of humanity, but there is a light that has been lit to show the way out of the darkness of these evil times.

So it goes on to the question of what is the purpose of life here on earth? Is it to bow down to a non present god and live a meager existence or is it to strive to reach your full potential. There are leaders and there are followers and sometimes the are times when leaders follow and followers lead. Ah but I digress. What is the purpose of life here and now? To first tackle this question we must define where we are here and now. We are on a planet revolving around a star which in turn revolves around the center of a galaxy which contains billions and billions of stars, all of which contain the same basic stuff, the same basic building blocks. Or so it is thought. If gold weighs more than helium, that is if there are heavy and light elements that make up our basic building blocks and we are a the extreme outside orbit of our galaxy, it is only fair to think that the stars and solar systems nearer the center of our galaxy would contain numerous heavy elements the never made it this far away from the heavy center of the galaxy and by the same token there could be elements out here that dont exist or are extremely rare near the center; and if this is true even though the physics may be similar there could be physics that exist near the center of the galaxy that we are unaware of simply because we live in a gravitational climate that is vastly different from that near the center.

So could life exist in solar systems near the center of the galaxy? If not, it would be safe to say that it does exist in the solar systems nearest our own and then it decreases as you spiral down towards the center, or maybe it does exist in solar systems near the center of the galaxy but as you follow our finger of the spiral toward the center of the galaxy it mutates and maybe it mutates in a manner that is consistent with life that has evolved in our particular finger of the galaxy but in the finger next to our own or across from our own it is different. So where we are here and now is a function of how we have evolved and which elements are present in our environment. So we as a species, had we evolved in an environment of different elements we would have evolved differently.

Could there be elements that exist that are not present here on Earth? I would say yes. Could there be elements that exist that we have no knowledge of that are present here in our galaxy? Again I would also say yes. First lets briefly examine our solar system there is Mercury, closet to the Sun, a tiny planet too close to the Sun for our own comfort level, quite a bit smaller that our Earth yet it did not fall into the Sun as the solar system formed nor did it form with Venus , it held its own heavier that Earth, but not heavy enough to fall into the Sun. This would be a good place to looks for exotic elements. Of course you will not land on Mercury and have the first rock you pick up be some previously unknown element, it may take a serious mining operation to discover any element the is here to fore unknown and none may be found at all. It is just that being a planet that formed closer to the center of the solar system the likelihood of there being an abundance of heavier elements seem to be an obvious deduction and with an abundance of heavier elements the likelihood of finding a heavy element that is yet undiscovered appears to be the greatest.

As you travel down the spiral towards the center of the galaxy and you notice slight variations in the life forms, there may come a point where there are no longer any air breathing life forms, all may be under water with the gravity being so strong that gaseous atmospheres no longer exist there is only land and ocean, but still the possibility of life is still there. Maybe the highest evolved life form, in these places are whales and dolphins; maybe the highest evolved life from, here on Earth are whales and dolphins. But they don’t build anything, is the most common response to this idea, it’s as if you have to mold your environment in order to prove your superiority. People like that can’t grasp the idea that the soul could soul could evolve to a state to where it transcends the material needs and is perfectly content to live life in the surroundings in the unaltered state. Still what is the purpose or meaning to life here on this planet? Is it to understand where we are, is it to overcome evil? Because if it is to overcome evil, we must first take on the evil empire of organized religion, because this is by far the most vicious form of evil that exist today, it not only uses itself to kill the spirit of humanity but it is used by the politicians as a tool to sway the public perception thereby raising its evil influence exponentially. To go forward in a positive way we must transcend the evil influences of religion, not a day goes by when you dont hear about the clash between two loving religious peoples in the middle east. It should be obvious that religion is not the way, but with the great multitude of people being weak minded average intelligence types, religion still has a healthy outlook for itself. When you try to explain to the weak and stupid just what is wrong with religion, its a concept that they just cant fathom, their mind just doesnt work in that way and its a shame, because in the grand scheme of collective consciousness these weak minded types are holding the rest of us in check. So the only hope is that enough people wake up and raise the collective intelligence, if only by force of will knowing that we are living as the force of good not evil.

Have you ever had one of those experiences when you were doing something that required some type of physical skill like shooting baskets, or hitting baseballs, or riding a skateboard and it all just came together, you were in the zone, you were on your game it was sort of a Zen type of thing. Zen where the archer and the bow, and the arrow and the target all become one where you can feel the force that is outside of you flow through you. It will come when you mind is clear and you discipline is strong and you are not consciously trying to find it. Perhaps due to our lightweight existence here on the outskirts of the galaxy we just dont have the right stuff to experience more that brief encounters with this Zen experience; or perhaps it goes more to our state of mind, our minds have been so polluted by the evil forces of the politicians and the priest that this Zen thing is still and evasive experience. Should we retreat to a monastery on a mountain and study Kung-fu and watch society self destruct from afar, or should we stay in the thick of thing and try to make a difference?

It is quite clear how the organized religions of the world purvey their evil, but the most damning thing is how they try to supplant free will in a promise of ever lasting life. I can not say for sure what happens to the soul after the body ceases to breathe, but I can say one thing for sure it most certainly is not the heaven that is professed in the big book of fables. Maybe the soul is reincarnated until it reaches such a state of perfection that the boundary between life and death no longer exist, or maybe the soul is reincarnated ever further from the center of the galaxy into the ether regions and we are living in a heaven like existence and we dont appreciate it or maybe when youre dead you are just dead, you lived and now your dead, you existed and now you dont and whatever kind of legacy that you left behind isnt going to give you one more breathe, no matter how fondly you are remembered and how many times that your name is invoked.

It is not clear what happens after life, that is why it is so important to fight the evil that exist now, because even if when youre dead you are just dead, it would be nice to take that last breathe knowing that you tried to make a difference and that as a legacy you left this world leaving a little more positive energy. So that after youre gone the world is one step closer in winning the battle with the forces of evil.
