the outer genitals (the vulva) is smegma under the clitoral hood.
Most physicians are aware of the need to inspect the male foreskin for
accumulation of smegma and resulting inflammation.
But little attention is given to the cleansing of a similar structure in
the female: the clitoris and its hood.

Smegma of the clitoris is a cheesy, odoriferous secretion of the sebaceous
