The Mark of the Beast: 666, Bar Codes and Microchi
The Mark of the Beast
The story
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and
bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the
name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let
him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is
the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and
six."
Revelation 13:16-18
Unknown to many, a sinister and diabolical plan is being carried
out by an unseen, but very real hand. It started in 1974, when a
strange, new mark began appearing on products. Today, virtually
every product is now marked with that familiar UPC barcode -
which has three "hidden" numbers embedded inside. Three
occurences of the number "6", representing 666, the Number of the
Beast, as shown in the figure to the right. This is how the forces of
evil are trying to sneak the mark of the beast into your home, by
placing it on every product that is bought and sold.
But wait - there is more, according to the prophesy, it is not just the
goods that are to be marked, but also the people, and that is
happening as well - the US millitary now puts bar code tags on its
soldiers. There is another develpoment, which also shows that the
prophesy is being fulfilled right now - the pilot programs underway
to create the cashless society - to take the money away and replace
it with "smart cards", which you will have to use for all payments.
But what happens if your smart card gets lost or is stolen ? The
solution to that problem is obvious - the card will have to be
embedded in your body, and what is a better place than the right
hand ? You think this is fantasy ? In some European countries,
dogs and cats already have microchip implants for identification
purposes, and the same system has been proposed for children
identification purposes, to prevent baby-swapping. Make no
mistakes, the prophesy is being fulfilled right now, in front of your
very eyes.
THE ARGUMENT AGAINST THIS WEIRDNESS
The facts
Well, to begin with, the two vertical lines do not represent "6", nor
are they identical with the bar code encoding for that number. Take
a look at the example above. The "6" in the bar code corresponds to
two thin lines, followed by a "blank", which is a part of the
encoding of the number. The two thin lines in the middle simply do
not have this "blank", and thus are quite different from the number
"6". In the case that anyone claims that the blanks do not matter, it
should be pointed out that the number "3" is encoded as "Thin line,
blank, thin line", so if you ignore the blanks, the lines in question
could just as well correspond to the number "3".
As for the question what happens if somebody steals your smart
card, the "obvious solution" given above is utterly bogus. Think
about it for a minute - if somebody steals your wallet, containing
old-fashioned paper money, they can just go ahead and spend them,
with no fear of being caught. If, on the other hand, your wallet
contained your "smart-money" card, it would be useless to the
thieves - it could not be used without the key number. On the other
hand, when you discovered the theft, you could just notify your
bank, who would promptly mark the card as stolen in its database,
and any attempt to use it would result in an alarm being raised. The
bank would then issue you a new smart card, so the whole episode
would only cause you a minor inconvenience.
Finally, the European microchip pet implants have nothing to do
with bar codes, and they certainly do not contain an UPC code.
Conclusion
The story above is a nice little combination of various half-truths,
cleverly put together to appear as a diabolic conspiracy. Perhaps it
will fool some people, who are afraid of technical advances and see
any changes to society as being the work of evil powers, but most
people should se this story for what it is - bogus scaremongering.
