Fate?

by Curtwell(M0rt)

Fate?

As Einstein said: "I can't believe that God would play with dice's" In his world image there was no such thing as random events, only "fate". So the theory of "fate" has been stated many times, but science hasn't accepted it because there are too many variables that have to be accounted for. A theory that included gravity and electromagnetism would show that there are rules for how the universe works. Einstein tried to develop such a theory and show Bohr that his theory of quantum mechanics was incomplete, but Einstein's theory never got finished.

Fate. The idea that everything is pre-determined. A theory stating everything is happening exactly the way it should be happening. A theory stating every single person whom had a great life, or had a bad life, is supposed to have that happen to them. If there were fate, there would be no such thing as "free choice" (in the physical realm at least...this writing isn't really going too far beyond that.). There would be no accidents, no such thing as "mistakes". The atoms of your body, already set on their course would not just magically go off their course for no reason. They act how they are designed to act, how they're "programmed" to act. You think how your brain has been "programmed" to think. The universe is in motion and it's not going to just change its course because you "think" it should.

The easiest way to get an understanding about fate is to imagine a pond of calm water. Throw a stone in the water and waves will immediately form trying to balance the chaos created by the stone when breaking the surface. Every atom in the water will be affected trying to balance the water back into order. The movement of the water could be shown as a giant tree of equations, making its way to be fulfilled. Then imagine that the water is the universe and the waves are the energy produced by chaos to restore the order.

If then fate was to exist action, reaction would come from the first event that happened when the universe was created. That event would contain the key of rules for every possibility that are going to happen. This is when my mind begins to have some problems, because the first event would only have happened on the smallest amount of time that is possible for something to happen. Then we ask our self, how long is that smallest amount of time? We don't have the math or the mind to solve such a question, because it takes us back to: "what is infinity?" and our minds have problems dealing with infinity. But if the universe is infinite that means that the equation created by that first event, must also contain every possibility to be fulfilled (can't be fulfilled with our math (ex: 1/X=0). So that means that everything that can happen will happen (In theory). So if an intelligent creature was to perform a calculation of that first-event, he would be able to calculate the future (In theory of course). Now if we knew our future(in theory) could we change the course of fate? My immediate thought is "yes", but then again, by doing that, by having that thought and by seeing that probable future, and taking into account how we respond to it, we are STILL acting the way we are supposed to.

Fate takes away the feeling of significance. Fate takes you away from this illusion we call physical reality. Fate is something that we cannot even comprehend... It seems more like the world is random, just everything happening out of order, no perfection, just chaos. But that is just human perception keeping us behind the cloud of comforting self delusion that thinking life forms build up around themselves. It's either that or going mad.
