Drug War Rant/Kava Kava....The Solution

I would like to get one thing strait before the bulk of this article begins.. I am no stranger to drugs that you purchase over the counter for recreational use. In fact, I can HONESTLY say that I am more familiar with them than at least half of the people who have written on this page. I have done more DXM and Dyphenhydramine than is conceiveable by a person's mind. Since the summer of 2001, I have spent my days and nights locked in a permanent trip in the 4th and sometimes Sigma plateau. I am always looking for new ways to release my brain from "this island earth".

As wonderful as this place may seem, it has its flaws. Each day, the war on drugs gets more intense. But it's more than that. It's a war on people that use drugs for recreational purposes. I have never killed anyone and I think that all rapists should be raped themselves. I am not dangerous and I am probably the most non-judgemental person you could ever meet. That would not matter if I was caught with a marijuana plant now would it? I read on this very page that extremely high doses of Kava Kava can get you pretty high.

For those of you who don't know, Kava Kava is an "herbal supplement" that you can find at almost any convenience store or pharmacy, when on a quest for the capsules themselves, I would recommend starting at a pharmacy. I did some research before charging in though, as I always do. People who don't research always seem to wind up with problems.. They are the ones who call poison control because they "didn't expect THIS to happen!". But, since Kava is an herb, there is no toxicity level. I know that when Kava was spoken of on Totse before, they author mentioned to not do anything stupid and take the whole bottle. This is all a matter of weight. I have a friend who did have to take the whole bottle to get high. Small doses of 6 capsules just won't cut it. I tried the small doses at first, I mean, small doses of 6 pills. This had no effect. Sometimes Kava can get pretty expensive if you are into pricey brand name drugs. I had wasted about 40 bucks by the time my Kava adventures had begun, but I had experienced no good feelings at all. One night however, I decided to up the doseage. I was a little shaky because up on researching, I found no indications of any warnings, which sometimes only means that no one has reached the point where they have had to be hauled away in an ambulance. So, I took 13 just to stay at a nice odd number under 15. Upon taking the pills, I decided to go into my basement to play drums. About a half hour into my playing, I noticed that things were getting pretty dreamy. I felt like a was using no effort but everything sounded just fine. I was even executing more difficult fills than I normally do.....perfect....flawless....you get the idea. I blinked my eyes several times. I decided that I should quit for awhile and go feel this drug out. I went upstairs to explore my new take on planet earth in terms of my house. Minutes went by and I was at the end of a second game of Yatzee with my mom (who is a crazy, god loving republican), very strange indeed. I then went to my bedroom to play my guitar. By the time the drug wore off, I was desperate for more. The next time, I popped 30 capsules and went for a drive with my friend in the woods. It was a very rainy night and we found ourselves in a huge ditch in the forest.. Try explaining that one to the DNR eh? We decided to go for help. Rain, mud, and whole stomache full of Kava were waiting to wreak their havoc on my senses. No sooner did we reach a trail when the Kava kicked in...my perception of reality became very choppy. It was just like being in a terrible marijuna haze....only worse...which in my language, means...Better:) We came upon a gas refinery in the woods. Yes. You guessed it...you have to see it to believe it though.. Middle of the woods...Huge factory that must take up at least an acre or two of land.. Let me tell you, Dr. Gonzo and Roul Duke would have ate this situation up. Anyway, back to the story. We walked up to the gate. I could almost feel the survalence cameras licking my face. I hate cameras. George Orwell's fault (insiders will know). I was totally down for the count. It was creepy, it was frightening, it was.....sheer magic. I had not felt that good since I gave up smoking pot...and it was BETTER! YES BRETHREN! BETTER THAN THE DEMON WEED! But anyway, we had to wind up walking back to his house.Seeing as how all the lights at the "Evil Installation" were on, but there wasn't a soul there!! We rang the bell at each gate (2 of them) and by that time, we were tired of messing around. We decided we would seek the aid of a redneck neighbor (truly wonderful man) and just come get the car in the morning. On the way back to my friend's house, that's..when the nausea sat in. It was bad. At times I found myself locked in an intense struggle to keep the vommit in. But I always won. After about 3 battles, the nausea wore off. Leaving me with nothing but a really good high that lasted until the next morning.

In conclusion, Kava is worth the try if the ganja in your area is too pricey, or if you just want to begin an adventure into the world of OTC drugs. It won't kill you and it will leave you groovy!
