Ok, i know and realize that you guys are trying to do something good... sad thing is, you exagerate every aspect of the drugs on your site, except the benefits. As far as i can tell, your site is nothing more than a very large propoganda machine. Now, i dont want to offend anyone, and i definately dont want you to look at me as another loser stoner, which i am definately not. Lets hear a little about me, shall we... I am a 16 year old from south Carolina, I enjoy soccer, video games, water skiing, spending time with my friends, I also enjoy psycho active drugs. I make pretty good grades, or at least I think, I am in honors and advanced classes and usually make a-b averages (some classes better than others)

First point i would like to make is that there is a difference between substance use and abuse. From what i can tell, you portray it as being impossible for anyone to use drugs responsibly, i know many many adults who abuse their right to drink alcahol, but i know just as many that dont abuse it. I know many, many people who are underage that abuse alcahol, while i dont, i drink in moderation and try to stay away from parties where people tend not to think. See, i am a responsible user, i smoke weed, not every day, not even every week. And i always try to gain something from my use of a drug, when i drink i usually talk with my friends about things (enhanced sociability, you forget to mention that one, eh) and i always try to draw when i smoke weed. Which is another thing you forget to mention, that cannabiniods (thc) bind to a part of the brain that is initiated in creativity and creative expression and thinking, something that is much too persuaded against.

A few very obvious points I think I need to help you guys clarify on. To begin with, not all Legal drugs are bad, and I am not referring to prescription, there are many psychoactive drugs that most people do not know about but are just as mind altering as any acid blott or mushroom. There are also some chemicals that occur naturally in the brain that have been made illegal... now how does that work, should I be arrested because I have trace amounts of DMT in my head which is naturally produced, I think not, so why should I be arrested if I posses it in a purified form.

Onto the Cannabis Plant. Weed is definitely not (and I quote) "a green or gray mixture of dried, shredded flowers and leaves of the hemp plant Cannabis sativa." Weed, or Marijuana is definitely not gray, it sounds to me like you got jipped off by either your dealer or your government repo agent, although it is generally the leaves and flowers, and usually i don't see shredded weed. Now, if you have Hashish it is a different story, it is basically a brown block of concentrated thc. Also, I think it needs to be noted, smoking of the hemp plant does not cause anxiety, unless the user is worried about being caught. The basic way that thc works, is that It slows down your brain, to a point somewhat above the sleep state, and it increases all of your senses, so the anxiety people feel is not caused by the cannabis, but merely a side effect of their own emotions being enhanced, the same way that sound is enhanced an perceived differently while high. (on a side note, I do believe that your scenarios are quite off and incredibly ridiculous and exaggerated.)

"Over the long term, smoking pot can cause you to lose interest in how you look and how you're getting along at school or work. NCADI It can also be much worse for your respiratory health than smoking cigarettes; the amount of tar, carbon monoxide, and cancer-causing chemicals inhaled in marijuana smoke are three to five times greater than that inhaled from the same amount of tobacco smoke. (NIDA Infofax)"

This statement in particular, I find to be quite sad, perhaps it is accurate that `pot' can cause loss of interest in how I look or how I get along in work or school, but that is only if I abuse it and smoke every day and afternoon and night and am in a perpetual state of `high'. This is not common with the typical user, the responsible user, generally they exhibit enhanced self esteem, relaxation, handle stress much better and tend to be more sociable. Also, the amount of tar (while higher in weed) does not matter, because when someone smokes weed, they don't need a `pack a day' like most tobacco smokers. Also, there are ways to extract the thc from the pot or even smoke it differently so that you do not have much tar at all, nearly half of the foreign particles and chemicals in smoke is removed by a water bong, while almost all of these things are eliminated when pot is smoked from a vaporizer.

Since you tend to not know much about smoking or smoking safety and devices, allow me to introduce you to the topic of the vaporizer. (No offense but I will be quite amazed if anyone at www.freevibe.com has been able to read this far) The vaporizer is basically what people use to smoke crack, simply made of a bulb, a tube and using a lighter. Now, since the process of vaporizing thc from pot involves not burning of the plant material, merely heating up to the point where the thc forms a smooth, milky steam or `vapor', if you will, it involves almost no other chemicals (since most have a higher vaporizing point than thc) I have heard that as low as a 1:10 tar to thc ratio may be achieved by proper vaporization. Also, the thc is not as broken down when smoked in this manner, allowing for much more preservation of the weed. Personally when I smoke in this manner, I breath in a mist and breath out mainly warm air and very little if any thc or smoke.

"It's important also to remember that marijuana is an addictive drug, responsible for about 60% of all the teenagers who seek admission to drug treatment centers in the U.S. Smoking marijuana leads to some changes in the brain similar to those caused by cocaine, heroin and alcohol."

I would also like you to at least add how it is addictive, mainly the fact that it `CAN BE' psychologically addictive, and in very few if any case studies has it ever been shown to be physically addictive (if you will also recall, almost anything fun or good can be psychologically addicting, like eating, or masturbating, or running [which is still mainly enjoyed because the chemical adrenaline is produced, yet another drug, which induces a high, not un-similar from that of many euphoria inducing drugs]) Also, many of the 60% teenagers who seek admission to drug treatment centers in the us either have other serious mental, or social or emotional troubles. Most of the time, they abuse their right to do drugs, which they should have whether the government sees fit or not but that is not my decision to make apparently. And I will say that Heroin causes incredibly bad withdrawal symptoms as well as psychological dependence, and alcohol does too, but in a much quicker time frame (over the course of a night perhaps).

I am quite sorry that this is so long, but there are a very many things that need to be addressed with your site, and I have only talked about one of your substance lists, which I see to be enough tonight, although there are several things more I wish to address.

One of my biggest problems is your "Why do people do drugs?" section, you leave out the parts such as spiritual exploration and conscious expansion. If you recall, ancient cultures used many mind expanding, perception altering drugs because they believed they gave them communication with the spirit world, several come to mind, such as eating morning glory seeds, the ingestion of the psylocybe or amanitia muscaria mushrooms by ancient Indian and Mexican tribes. Not to mention that weed has been used in asia for thousands of years, practically since the beginning of time. I believe it was Omar Kahym who supported both drinking and the use of cannabis (although he does not say that out front, he makes several references such as green herb and grass and smoking from his hookah) Sure there are people that do drugs for the reasons you listed, but what about the amazing artist who smokes weed before sitting down for a masterpiece, or what about da Vinci I believe it was (a famous artist of the 1800s, actually many famous artists from that time period) drank absinthe many times before painting (if you do not know what absinthe is, google it or look up the chemical thujone). I believe the Mona Lisa was painted on absinthe (do not quote me on that, I seem to remember that one on the list, but I am not exactly sure, I was quite tired at the time and am now as well and don't feel like looking it up). Also, what about our musicians, look at the good that has come from their drug use. As James Maynard Keenan said "You know what I think, I think drugs have done some good things for us, I really do, and if you don't think drugs have done good for us, do us all a favor. Go home tonight, take all your albums, all your tapes and all your cd's and burn em, cus u know what, all those great musicians that made the music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years.... Reeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllll fuckin high on drugs". Not to mention all the wonder fairy tales we would be without if it were not for drugs, like The Wizard Of Oz or Alice in Wonderland.

In conclusion, if there is one thing I want, its not for everyone to do drugs, because drugs simply aren't for everyone, the last thing I want is to turn into some kind of drug evangelist, that's almost worse then our bible-thumping southern friends I am soo keen of. I would like people to learn to do these things responsibly. I merely want you to think about what you are doing, don't support something illegal, merely tell it with an unbiased opinion, give them facts, don't try to scare them, allow others than little 14 year old kids that started heroin when they were 11 post on your site.

Thank you for your time to read this, please excuse any unwanted illegal activity support (bla blah blah, I don't support this stuff I don't wana get in trouble)

P.S. PLEASE ALLOW OTHERS TO POST THEIR STORIES, NOT JUST THE FUCKED OVER KIDS

P.P.S. How about you guys put some of this (or all of it) on your front page, so at least your visitors will get a glimpse of my side of the story, a responsible users side.

I don't support anything illegal, anything and everything contained in this article is hypothetical -- can i actually get in trouble if i said i do support this stuff... i duno, ne way above statement=bs, lol
