Now this is extremely easy, and I'm doing it right now, so I do not know exactly how much time you exactly get. I first started off by using a free 2 month trial during news years (exact date i dont know). I used my debit card to sign up, which had nothing in it. So I had to put in $0.01, this is because MS won't let you sign up to a credit card with no money. So then I took my precious penny out and forgot about it. Today I just read my email and I have been getting warnings of them suspending my account, after like 2 weeks of my new suscription. They say you have to change your credit card to one that works.
So basically you get 2+ weeks of free xbox live added onto your account. This is because MS doesn't really lose much from Live scams. Just remember:
1. Have credit/debit card with $0.01
2. Register Xbox Live with free suscription
3. Wait 2 months
4. Wait atleast for the second "warning" email, then respond saying "The credit card has money on it wtf are you guys smoking", well something among the lines of that...
5. Enjoy an extra half + of free xbox live.
