The MRE Bomb

All you need is a plastic bottle, some water, and a MRE (Meal Ready to Eat). You can get MREs from just about any military surplus store. They even sometimes sell the heaters all by themselves.
Alright, now this is what you do. Open your MRE and you'll find all sorts of goodies in there. There is a plastic bad with cardboard inside of it. Inside this cardboard is what you need. It is a dark gray/black disk of god knows what. Unless the package was victim to severe trauma, it should still be solid. If not, no problem. One way or another, take the contents of the cardboard and put it inside of a DRY plastic bottle. I stress the dry part cause water makes the whole thing go round and if it's wet on the inside, it probably won't work. After you get all the contents inside the bottle (it'll probably be the consistancy of a chunky powder one you get it through the bottle opening) you're done. When you want to set if off, just add water and close the lid TIGHTLY. I usually just fill it up about half way with water. You gotta couple minutes before it'll explode so just sit around and watch. You can shake it too to help speed up the process.
Now what happens is the water has some sort of chemical reaction with this powder and builds up heat and gas. The heat I suppose helps the bottle stretch a little bit. The gas makes it expand. Sooner or later the bottle can't take no more and it'll go boom. It's really loud... sounds like a gunshot. This is similar to the foil and liquid plumber idea. Just as with it, it's practically harmless, but you still need to watch out for the hot liquid inside. Also, if you don't put the lid on tight enough, it may end up blowing off. It might blow off if you put it on tight anyway. Wtahc out for this. I've been hit by a speeding lid and it hurts like a bitch. Kinda like being shot with a paintball. Well that all for this file.
